Henry Reppel came to Queensland from Germany in 1862 and worked as a shepherd on Goomburra Station. In the 1880s he opened the Boarding House in Drayton Street Allora which provided accommodation for workers such as shearers and apprentice blacksmiths in the district.

Recently, this historically listed building has been lovingly restored to its former glory. It contains many well-preserved period features that reflect the era in which it was originally built. It is now open to the public and known as Reppels Bed and Breakfast.

While Gordon Country has received its share of the recent SE QLD big wet, we are pleased to let everyone know our cabins and camping areas are still fine.

Yes, the creeks are running freely, as you could well imagine, but all our amenities are intact and operating.

There are some of our 4WD trails which are very wet with restrictions on us and the Council being able to grade those trails.
