This gorgeous old mill cottage is nestled in the rolling green hills of Victoria Mountain Biking Mecca Forrest and is situated at the start of the Mt Bike Trailhead.

Whether it is enjoying a glass of local wine by the lovely open fire or waking to the call of birds as you look out over the tree tops. The Riders Palace is an idyllic hideaway in the Otway’s.

Although an old gal the Cottage offers a contemporary relaxed feel.

With polished timber floors throughout; alight and airy kitchen & dining; separate lounge with open fire place opening on to the north facing veranda overlooking peaceful gardens.

The property is set in a relaxed and protected north west facing garden with lots of lovely lawn and the odd Koala to keep you on your toes.

If you open the gate at the bottom of the garden and follow the path to the Barwon River you will discover a parkland and trail to the West Barwon Dam.

The self contained cottage sleeps 7 people comfortably.

The Riders Palace is your own little world for as long as you choose to stay.

Ti Tree Cottages at Forrest really are situated in one of the most beautiful locations in the entire Great Otway National Park. Forrest is a gem; just a small, rural town with a truly distinct Australian flavour and there is lots and lots to do in this area if you like getting out and about. Lake Elizabeth is stunning and hosts a multitude of platypus, tours are available. The West Barwon Dam is also a must see as are the numerous waterfalls and bush walks in the area. Forrest Ti Tree Cottages can sleep six people comfortably in each cottage. Close to the cottages are over 38 kms of newly upgraded mountain bike trails. Cottage One is the front cottage and has two bedrooms with a queen bed in each and the third bedroom has two single beds (that can be zipped together to make a king bed). The cottage is fully self-contained and also has a spa bath in the bathroom. Cottage Two is the back cottage and has one bedroom with a queen bed, the second bedroom has a king bed (can be two single beds) and the third bedroom has two single beds. The cottage is fully self-contained and also has a wheelchair accessible shower in the bathroom and ramps to the cottage. Both cottages have a log fire in the lounge room with plenty of firewood supplied, and a wall heater in the bedroom. Both cottages have electric air coolers (fan operated water coolers) for summer and electric wall heaters in the bedrooms for winter. Cottage Two is our pet friendly cottage with a small enclosed area for your dog. Pets allowed by prior arrangement only.

Entering through an area of Otway foothills bushland (protected by a Land for Wildlife Covenant), Pennyroyal Raspberry Farm & Cidery is a hidden delight. Pennyroyal Raspberry Farm offers luxurious self-contained cabins for couples, with views over the berry rows to the valley beyond. Attractively furnished they offer many personal touches. Colourful parrots will join you as they come in to feed. You have the choice of self catering or one of Katrine's famous Raspberry Farm breakfasts. Their own produce and the local region are used for the breakfasts and in the Teahouse. The Crucible cider (awarded a bronze medal in the 2014 Australian Cider Awards) as well as the berry gins are available to guests at the farm. Well behaved dogs are welcome and dedicated areas available adjacent to each cabin. Peace, birdwatching and bushwalking are highlights. A picturesque drive will take you to excellent regional restaurants, wineries, craft and gift shops and galleries. A transfer service to the ultimate food and wine experience at Brae is available on request, along with other local sites. Energetic bike riders can try out the mountain bike trails at nearby Forrest or sample the brews (including the Crucible cider) at the Forrest Brewery and visit other members of the Otway Harvest Trail. During the berry season, people flock to pick their own fruit: two varieties of raspberries, five types of brambleberries, red, black and white currants, jostaberries, gooseberries and strawberries. New this year are the much lauded Crucible cider and berry gins. Use a stay at the berry farm and cidery as a base and it is a fantastic opportunity to visit all the local attractions as well as for day trips to the Coast, the Great Ocean Rd and the inland volcano country. Forrest General Store is a nice place to stop and have a break in the Otway Ranges. You will find good coffee, home made pies, pasties, sausage rolls, bread, cakes and sandwiches. They also sell a range of local and regional produce, gift ware, homeware, newspapers, cigarettes and magazines. To keep you going along your trip through the Otway Ranges, they sell provisions such as groceries, deli goods, chocolates and lollies, plus fire wood and bags of ice....
