We are a small, secluded, friendly, eco-sensitive accommodation retreat on the quiet side of Great Keppel Island. Great Keppel Island is a tropical island on the inner Great Barrier Reef in Queensland. We accommodate adults in our luxury eco camping retreat right next to the beach. BYO food, and Carl can sometimes sell you locally caught fish.

Great Keppel Island is a wonderful place to do nothing - just relax, sleep or read, or take advantage of the great snorkelling (we'll rent you equipment), bushwalking the many tracks to deserted beaches or along the ridge to the lighthouse, or kayaking to the tidal lagoon. Kayaks available.

Lyndie has written two guide books - one on snorkelling on Great Keppel Island and one on bushwalking on Great Keppel Island. You will find copies next to your beds.

The Home and Cottage are fully furnished with all you would possibly need and have lots of off-street parking.

The immediate area is very quiet, situated down a private lane. The front lawn overlooks the ocean and is perfect for total relaxation. The home is surrounded with palm trees, pandanus trees and beautifully maintained tropical gardens. Paths and steps go right to the sand. You are welcome to bring your dog, however we ask you to bring there bedding please The surrounding area has so much to offer, from swimming, fishing, golf, island cruise, walking, forests. marina, clubs, crocodile farm, caves, museum, shopping, zoo, art galleries, lookouts, heritage village, cinemas, bowls, reef diving, horse riding, bus tours and lots more.

Egg Rock is located in a Marine National Park "B" Zone - the Keppel Group of Islands on the Great Barrier Reef are totally protected. Wall dives to 30m on the seaward side, numerous types of corals and fish life - some up to 70kg! Coral Trout in abundance and Clown Fish (the size of your hand) in their Anemones in patches up to 10m in diameter. Sea Snakes, Cod, Barramundi, Hussar's, Sweetlip, Hump-headed Batfish and Red Emperor to name a few. This site is a photographers dream....
