Cathedral Valley Farm

468 Cathedral Ln, Taggerty VIC 3714
Cathedral Valley Farm is set on 150 acres with spectacular views of the Cathedral Ranges, 110 kilometres from Melbourne between the Yarra Valley and the High Country. The original farmhouse has been converted to two self-contained suites, plus a central sitting room with a wood fire and a library of books, DVDs and CDs and Wifi. Each suite has reverse cycle air-conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, spa room and decks with a gas barbecue. The four bedrooms have en-suites and king-size beds that can be configured as twin singles, providing accommodation for eight people. The accommodation and amenities are designed, mainly, for adults. The farm is a working one, breeding Murray Grey cattle. Meet and enjoy the company of the menagerie of animals in the barnyard, from horses to ponies, alpacas, lambs, chickens and ducks and a peacock called Andrew. Children are more than welcome to feed the chooks. The view to the ranges looks out over the water and there is a dingy and swimming in the dam. Just a short drive to Marysville, Lake Mountain snowfields and Lake Eildon, the farm is an ideal retreat for couples, groups of friends, families, skiers, bushwalkers, bike riders, artists groups, business planning sessions or wedding venue. Cathedral Valley Farm offers self catered weddings on the property. Please see the website for further information.

Cathedral Range State Park

Cathedral, Taggerty VIC 3714
The Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges region is home to some of Victoria's most impressive tall forests. Once logged to make masts for ships, the area is now a haven for lyrebirds, and a great place to walk, cycle, picnic or sit and relax. Follow the many walks and trails through stands of towering 100 metre high mountain ash, undulating seas of tree ferns, across clear gushing streams and past thundering waterfalls. And for those not keen to leave the comfort of their car, some of the best scenery is accessible by road too. The Cathedral Range is a spectacular 7 kilometre ridge of sharply upturned sedimentary rock. A variety of walking tracks offer the opportunity to climb the peaks and enjoy views of the forests and farmland in the valley below. Before you go Conditions can change in parks for many reasons. For the latest information on changes to local conditions, please visit the relevant park page on the Parks Victoria website. Be bushfire ready in the great outdoors. Refer to the Bushfire Safety section on the Parks Victoria website for tips on how to stay safe....
