Tibooburra is a village in the far northwest of New South Wales, Australia, 1,187 kilometres (738 mi) from the state capital, Sydney. It is most frequently visited by tourists on their way to national parks in the area. At the 2006 census, Tibooburra had a population of 161. Although facilities in Tibooburra are quite limited, fuel, meals and a range of accommodation options are available. All significant support services (medical, dental, hospital, retail, mechanical, commercial) are based in Broken Hill.

New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service have a Tourist Information Centre in the township. There is also a Police Station.

The camping ground is located at the historic Aboriginal Reserve located two minutes south of town. There are hot showers, septic toilets and a gas barbecue. Pets and campfires are permitted.

There is a walking track to an historic Aboriginal burial ground, shelter shed with tables and interpretive signage regarding the Aboriginal culture and heritage of the Corner Country.

It is a good base for day trips to Cameron's Corner, Sturt National Park and Innamincka.

Mount Wood Homestead is located in Sturt National Park. Sturt National Park is located near Tibooburra in the north-west corner of New South Wales where the state borders of New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia meet. Tibooburra is approximately 350 kilometres north of Broken Hill. The road is bitumen and dirt - approximately 50 per cent of each. The sensitively restored state heritage-listed property is a great place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the national park. Each room is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Bathrooms and the kitchen/dining area are shared with other guests. A garden surrounds the homestead. The homestead is a 20 minute drive from Tibooburra.Reservations are required and can be made at the National Parks Visitor Centre in Tibooburra.Not catered, please bring your own food.
